IQF blueberries are prepared from sound, properly harvested (wild or cultivated) fresh fruit of the blueberry bush (Genus Vaccinium), including species or varieties often called huckleberries, but not of the Genus Gaylussacia; are cleaned and stemmed; are properly washed; are packed with or without packing media; and are frozen and maintained at temperatures necessary for the preservation of the product.
Food & Beverage Holding is proud to offer IQF blueberries and other IQF fruits and vegetables at wholesale and in bulk. IQF (Individually Quick Frozen) blueberries are blueberries that have been frozen individually, rather than being frozen in a block. This allows for easier portioning and prevents the berries from sticking together. IQF blueberries retain their flavor, color, and texture after being frozen, and lengthen their shelf life. They can be used in a variety of dishes, such as pies, jams, smoothies, and baked goods.
